I make it very clear upon my dA ID that I prefer to work alone. Many cartoonists seem to have a special pack together. They share stuff, give each other amazing feedback without fail and just basically give each other a reach round.
Not me. I prefer to work alone. Yes, I give feedback when most needed. I support others when the times are tough alright. But when it comes down to basics. I prefer to be the lone wanderer of drawing cartoons.
That doesn't mean I don't appreciate these beautiful muppets enough to be ignored.

This is just a wee(!?) something I have been working on since Nov as somewhat something of a thanks for putting up with my bullshit. These fine bastards have all helped me in one way or another and I want to make that known now.

Moonpie has been a good bud for a few years now. Owed her something for quite a while now, lying shit that I am. Wanted to draw her characters but kept wussing out. In all truths, I was talking out my ass when I said that I wanted to draw her stuff. But after growing up a bit, it was only fair to do SOMETHING after her somewhat positive support, gifts and introducing me to the greatest Youtube gamer of all time earlier this year, I decided to go with her most fascinating (to me) characters. Dis wasn't as hard as I thought...Until I drew the fucker. Original idea called for him looking startled after being caught out eating bird seed out of a box, but this is really more of a waist shot idea. Maybe in the future, I will come back to that....

This was the second to last one I drew. By which time, after doing this project for nearly a month and a half, by which time. I had somewhat become a hobo within my own room. Living on scraps, peeing in jars and basically cackling to the skies, arms outstretched claiming I was the greatest cartoonist ever...But anyways. I made it my job to make each of these pics unique,. By the time I had reached Morgz pic, I was worried I was gonna start repeating myself style wise, so I decided to just try something new. Before anyone says it, this was NOT inspired by John K. It was actually inspired by a rather interesting chap called Zach Bellissimo (aka ~SeizureDemon), who, in turn may have been inspired by John K but nevertheless.
Anyways, Morgz has been a fantastic friend to me (WHEN HE ISN'T FUCKING CHEATING AT HALO, THE LITTLE MOOSE-PENIS OBSESSED SHIT!), both online and eventually, IRL. However, it has become my sole job to get this guy drawing again after so many months considering how decent a style he has. That is why I made this so OTT. To show just how much potential his characters can have. Even in MSPaint.
That hat though. Fuck that hat. Took me ages to get it right.

Heeey! Well, stretch my intestines to the moon and lasso it down! It's Myles!
Myles is an interesting chap. I find it hugely entertaining how he is a Canadian who actually seems to apologies for everything he does. But seriously, this cool cat has claws. Having a fairly good amount of mates whom of which are pretty popular themselves, so that ain't too bad. But what I like about Myles is his style. Reminds me of the sort of things I watched in the 90's. Gier is defiantly my fave character of his and has the most interesting design. This was actually the first one I completed, back when I had my...Illness scare. The lineart is a bit wobbly, but the reason I still went with it is because, yes, I did it when I was ill....But I did it when I was ill and it came out pretty unique. If I were to try and do this again, I doubt I could.

The reflux-capacitor. Good grief. What can I say? Reflux is just the closest thing to a pro cartoonist who actually knows of my existence and treats me like a fave, which is awesome. I owe this lass so much. All you guys have a role in my life, but reflux is the one who has first grabs of my kidneys. I like my kidneys. You try to take my kidneys, I'll bloody take yours! I have actually lost count of the stuff she has done for me this year, but never asks for anything in return. With her pony art getting a large amount of praise and a rather respectful circle of friends, I often feel like I am the thing holding her down, but time and time again, she slaps me around and makes me feel like a rightful muppet. Whilst I doubt I'll ever reach the same respect she gets, I appreciate the love she sends my way.
I never have trouble choosing an OC to draw for her, but I decided to go with the most bizarre one. This....Thing. Seriously, anthro bread. The devil do they put in the wine over there in Italy?

Spaceman!
I will admit, this was almost a odd choice to include I feel. I and Spaceman rarely talk to extensive measures, but again. Everyone here helped me in some way. Jacka-whacka here is one of the guys who grew up in the 90's and wants to make that known through his artwork, so this is more a nod of respect. Last few months however, we have been a bit more active with each other, especially on tumblr, so I felt this was more then enough excuse to add this welsh bastard.
I can't say much about this one, noted it almost had a Tex Avery style, which is something I've always wanted to try. The square head also helps, giving my drawing experience of drawing "noodle heads".

Pssssh....Running out of things to say here already. Let's see....Julie is.....A girl....Who...Did something...Erm...She's a cheating bitch as Spy in TF2? And I included her...Because....She...Erm...Ok, seriously. I included Julie because she asked to be in this. Saying that however, she's actually pretty cool. Granted my loo flushes longer then our talks most times, there is something about her I just really like. Her style is very steampunk at times, with interesting characters.
Top hats are always great fun to draw, I will say. As for the eyes. That is just me poking fun at myself for often having the line separating the eyes not going all the way down.
So yeah, interesting personality, pretty original design and a fucking robo-cat who I will never draw again because it turns out they are my kryptonite.

This guy. Holy shit, I love this guy. Just because I can. I have every right to love this guy. Nuks is just pure awesome. He is one of the most polite fellas I have had as a watcher, always giving me a great comment which is made even funnier with his somewhat broken English. But seriously, it would of been a sin not to include this guy. His style looks familiar, but I can't quite picture its origin. It is like something out of a book I had as a wee pup. Maybe if you see his style for yourself, it might help you think.
Anyways, this ain't the first time I drew Klass. I really liked how he came out last time, so I wanted to recapture that, but of course, with a few new techniques. Still can't draw that damn hat though, so I left it out. Considering also, Klass is a sailor, I decided to give him that odd eye that most veteran men of the sea seem to always have...

Danny-boy. Good grief, this one had me worried. I love drawing art for those who deserve it, but sometimes, it takes an extra level of effort and attention to detail to please some peeps. Of course, you may say otherwise mate, but I've drawn for you before and my god, you are easy to surprise, but hard to please. But I digress. Of course I was still going to include this guy. Hell, would be wrong not to, not after you create a character of which is of a species I created. The very clear choice would of been, of course, Kyle. But why? Why draw a character I have drawn before? Where is the originality? I decided to go with Lyon because I need to draw more cats. More cats in uniforms. I need to draw more cats in outfits. I suck at drawing cats in outfits. A cat in a outfit is my soul animal.
Actually, I was wondering, is Lyon a play on words on "Lion"?
I just know he is going to question this description. Come at me, bro.

Bit of a different reason for including this lovely lass. Rob approached me with an idea to be the first peeps on dA to come up with a group about Newgrounds flash Madness Combat. At the time of writing this, other groups have been created related to the flash, but ours was the first and is doing pretty damn well. Hell, even the guy who created the flash is a member.
Rih was no challenge, but still managed to prove difficult. Do I include the eyes? If not, how can I make it look legit? The real prob was the fur. I refuse to colour anything pitch black (unless it is a mouth, pupil or something not too solid or big) as it makes the image look too blocky.. So I had to do some improvising with this one.
I have no idea what is up with those weird antenna thingys though. Care to enlighten me, Miss Robz?

This guy, I have been teasing. Time and time again he seems to question my actions. Why did I include him? Why did I watch him? This site ain't just about art, as I have found. Just knowing that there is someone who seems to like you for who you are and makes that known via by just writing the most wonderful comments is enough for this old bastard. Seriously, this guy. I ain't sure if he is like this to everyone or he's foolishly trying to get on my good side. Nevertheless, I deem him alright. A fan of Punch-Out!! Another cat? Egads! But this one was more easier, considering drawing cartoonish feral cats is actually pretty easy when done right. As for the stumpy leg. That’s just teasingly cruel, having drawn a paranoid schizo Russian soldier with only one hand for so long does help when it comes to drawing stumpy limbs.

I will admit, I'm not really a fan of Chris's style of humor. I find taking random words and putting them together in a attempt to be funny pointless, BUT! Don't take it personally, Chris! Otherwise, why would you be in this pic? I included Chris because he's actually helped me in the past with some concept ideas for my OC's. Why else did I once draw the JD trying to solve a rubix cube?
For this one, I actually had some help. In the town where I got to college, there is a comic-book store, run by some american chaps. They have a wonderful knowledge about how to draw comic book characters and have provided me with excellent tips in the past. When I told them I was drawing a superhero whom is a Dragon, they were more then eager to help. The biggest tip? Heroes who were masks look better without the pupils showing. At first, I did try including them, but it just looked really creepy. Especially with this expression. So thanks to Tim and Steve with this one.

This was the last one I got done. Like a few others on this list, this was more then anything else, done out of respect for Wolfie's long relationship as my friend. The first one to introduce me to many aspects of dA including art trades and comms, this is more of a note of thanks then anything else.
I recently got a fascinating tutorial book (thanks to Astronblackmoonpie whom suggested it to me) consisting of the how-to in drawing mythical creatures. It has a great how-to on so many different aspects of drawing monsters, especially reptile-type creatures. Using a few tips, I wanted to really create something a bit more horror style. Mutant Wolfcub is always great fun to draw considering how easy her design actually is. I played around with the horns mostly and felt shorter ones gave a pose of less power, sure, but added a more sinister tone.
Have to admit, with the colouring choices I used, she almost looks like a 1950 sci-fi horror monster.
WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO BEAT IT. ALL WE KNOW IS...IT CAME FOR THE DEW!!

Nearly 2 months. That is how long this took. Would I do it again? Maybe, but not for a long while. In the meantime, for those who got a pic....I had to shrink these all down to fit into this already pretty large size, so if you want me to send you an unshrunk, full quality image of your OC, let me know. I have a few peeps on Skype which makes this easier, but I would rather do this via e-mail.
So, what now? I plan on taking a 10 minute break then getting back to work. Really wanna finish this from earlier in the year....[link]
